Synopsis:
Dismembered bodies are turning up across New York City, and conspiracy theories run wild; the murders are chillingly deliberate, each echoing a savage, impossible signature. How could any human rip victims apart and scatter their limbs like roadside debris? Amidst a landscape of extreme paranoia and misinformation fueled by online radicals, a hidden predator begins targeting those deemed “compromised” as a twisted solution for population control.
Bailey, a loner goth student at the Gibson Institute of Technology who secretly moonlights as a candy-sweet livestreamer, watches as people around her fall victim to the carnage. Drawn into the heart of the violence, Bailey is unprepared when she becomes the target of a cyber mastermind unleashing deadly software that can reach anyone, anywhere through their smartphones. The next text they receive could make them the subject of a horrific headline in the morning paper.
As suspicion spreads online and the attacks escalate, Bailey and her friends must endure this wave of death and survive long enough to expose the terrifying reality of who, or what, is truly pulling the strings.

About the Proof of Concept
This short film adapts an early scene from Elimination Strain, giving a glimpse of the danger that will unfold in the feature. A young couple is terrorized by a masked man in a hazmat suit. What begins as strange text messages quickly escalates into a nightmarish encounter, hinting at the terrifying force behind the murders, and setting the tone for the larger story. The poster also reflects the short and not the feature length script.
