This ridiculous short film won best comedy at Carolines on Broadway. This was shot in Glen Cove Long Island.

In this absurd and hilarious short film, Liz introduces us to Fred , another installemnt from Weird Short Films, a strange man deeply committed to his mannequin girlfriend, Liz. But like any dysfunctional relationship, even Liz tries to make a run for it. As Fred cries over old photos, Liz inexplicably returns, leading to a bizarre and cringey night of passion between the two lovers. But it doesn’t stop there. Fred decides to throw a birthday party for Liz and invites his estranged family, who haven’t spoken to him in years because… well, he’s dating a mannequin. Can Fred convince his mom to attend? Will Liz behave? You’ll have to watch to find out. If you love bizarre humor, offbeat characters, and a healthy dose of WTF, this one’s for you.

 

Thank you for watching our weird short film Liz which was shot in Glen Cove Long Island. We used several houses and various locations but made it appear to look like one central area. The interiors were all shot in the same apartment. When Fred walks out of his house, what is the house Christopher Wells grew up in. The shot where Liz is in her car in that same scene was shot across town and when Fred sees his neighbor, that was a few houses down from the liz in the car shot.
