Elimination Strain (official trailer) is here!!

Elimination Strain is the latest horror/thriller short by filmmaker Christopher Wells, the executive producer and director of The Luring. This is a proof of concept (POC) film—6 minutes and 32 seconds of stylized tension—that will evolve into a full-length feature.

Right now, we're submitting Elimination Strain to film festivals across the country. Why? Because having a strong POC short and a compelling trailer is how you get investors, partners, and buzz. That’s just how it works. If people see something cool, they’re more likely to support it. And if it gets into a reputable festival? Even better. That’s validation. That’s proof. That means a group of film programmers—whose job is literally to spot talent—think your story is marketable and worth watching.

And if a festival doesn't care about quality? Maybe don’t submit there. Vet your festivals like you vet your collaborators. Credibility matters.

The Elimination Strain short is essentially the opening scene of the feature we plan to shoot. It’s designed to be cinematic, creepy, and immediately engaging. We’ve done the research, locked in the tone, and so far the response has been incredibly positive. We think we have something special—and we’ll keep you posted if the festivals agree.
