This is the proof of concept for Elimination Strain, the latest horror/thriller film by filmmaker Christopher Wells, executive producer and director of The Luring. It’s based on a six-minute short we produced back in October and has since evolved into a full-blown feature screenplay.
TAGLINE: The most terrifying conspiracy theory is the one that's after you.
LOG LINE: When a young woman’s friends are brutally murdered, she’s forced to dive deep into the dangerous world of conspiracy theories in an attempt to stop a delusional killer who believes they are saving the world from WWIII.
Rewriting Like a Director After a ton of rewrites and fine-tuning, I’m proud to say the script for Elimination Strain is officially locked. I trimmed the fat—less description, sharper dialogue, and more precision. I’m a director, so yeah, I tend to over-direct in the script… but this time I pulled back and let the story breathe.
Digging Deeper Into Character What changed the most? The backstory. I connected some major dots that now make the motivations hit harder. The characters feel more grounded, more dangerous, and more human. You may not agree with what they do—but you'll understand why they do it. And that makes it way more intense.
A Hero You’ll Actually Root For Our lead character goes through a massive arc. She starts one way and ends completely different—but it feels earned. The twist? Her transformation is as believable as it is badass. It’s one of those character journeys that stays with you after the film ends.
Check Out the Trailer This trailer for Elimination Strain was cut from the short film, which acts as the first scene of the feature. It’s tense, raw, and sets the tone for what’s coming.
